BEST MONTHS IN KENYA
July
July marks the beginning of the mating season as well as the beginning of the crossing of the Mara River to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Perfect weather conditions with little to no rainfall. This is the best time to be in the Northern Serengeti and the Masai Mara.
August
August sees the bulk of the migration taking place and is an undoubted phenomenon where more killing action from predators takes place. The herd are making more desperate push to migrate north to the Masai Mara and this is where confusion, chaos follows to the advantage of the lurking predators.
October
This is the reverse migration where the animals will migrate and return to Tanzania but most of the herd will still be in the Masai Mara area. This is a great time to be in the Masai Mara and the Northeastern Serengeti to take in all the action.
WHERE YOU SHOULD BE

A huge number of wildebeest herd will be here in August and early September as they continue to graze. This is a superb destination for continued migration safari experience as an extension from the Masai Mara.

With its lush green marsh set against the towering backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, this is home to some of the most incredible population of elephants, giraffes and a good number of the migratory wildebeest. August and September provide a sensational game viewing experience as the herd prepares its return south to Tanzania in October and beyond.
