ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE JOHANNESBURG / WINDHOEK / SOSSUSVLEI
Arrive into Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Intl Airport and after clearing immigrations, proceed to check in for your short flight to Windhoek, Namibia. On arrival at Windhoek Hosea Kutako Intl Airport, you will be met and escorted to the comfortable air-conditioned lounge where you can relax between flights. Thereafter, you will be escorted to your light-aircraft flight to Sossusvlei (1h 10m) where you will arrive at the luxurious desert retreat of Little Kulala set in the private 37,000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve - the gateway to Namibia's sand sea with its towering dunes and clear starry skies. Desert-adapted wildlife in this area is fascinating and is another dimension of this truly spectacular place. After settling down, enjoy a nature drive where you have the opportunity to witness wildlife such as oryx, bat-eared fox, brown hyena and birdlife.
This evening, you may like to enjoy an extraordinary experience of sleeping out under the starry starry skies of the Namib and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of Africa on the roof of your camp unit.

DAY 2: SOSSUSVLEI
An extraordinary day in the world-famous Sossusvlei - name of an enormous clay pan, flanked by the famous sand dunes that flush red in the early morning sun - as well as the name of the area in general. Close to the Sossusvlei pan is Dead Vlei, another pan where water once flowed, but now all that remains are the skeletons of trees that reach up out of the cracked earth. Consider taking a stroll too to see the Tsauchab River to capture fascinating wildlife - a diverse array of insects, reptiles and rodents that has adapted to the environments.

DAY 3: SOSSUSVLEI / SKELETON COAST
Early rise as we board our light-aircraft to Doro Nawas airstrip (3hrs) and then connect onto another light-aircraft to the iconic Skeleton Coast (30mins) where we arrive at the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp - scenically located in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Enjoy a different experience as you take in unbelievable views of the beautiful Skeleton Coast revealing a rocky coastline with its huge Cape Fur Seal colony and shipwrecks. Go on game drives where you will see a variety of wildlife such as the oryxs, desert lions, giraffes, elephants and springboks.

DAY 4: SKELETON COAST
You have the day to engage in morning and afternoon game drives or take a trip to some of the desert oases for picnics or learn more about the wildlife and their challenges their adaptability.

DAY 5: SKELETON COAST / ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
From the coast and the desert, we travel inland to the shimmering waterholes of Etosha National Park - one of the most prolific wildlife population in Africa with a wide diversity of animals such as springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, zebra, waterbuck, giraffe, the elusive and endangered black rhino to predators like the hyena and the lion. We spend two unbelievable nights here in the Ongava Lodge - on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park and set within the private Ongava Game Reserve.

DAY 6: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
A day of close interaction with Etosha's array of wildlife as we take morning, afternoon and evening game drives in the private Ongava Game Reserve as well as Etosha National Park.

DAY 7: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK / WINDHOEK
Spend another morning game drive in the private Ongava Game Reserve after lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your light-aircraft return to Windhoek where you may spend a day to relax back in civilization.

DAY 8: DEPART WINDHOEK / JOHANNESBURG
Early this morning, be transferred to Windhoek Hosea Kutako Intl Airport for your flight to Johannesburg before connecting on your onward journey.

Set in a private reserve with direct access to the Namib Naukluft National Park and the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, Little Kulala is stylishly designed with neutral colours and organic materials blending effortlessly into the landscape. The spacious villas offer privacy and seclusion.
With only 8 tents, the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is located in an exclusive area at the confluence of the Hoanib River tributaries flanked by rugged hills and overlooking spectacular sceneries of unexpected oases and enormous sand dunes. Each tent is uncompromisingly furnished, with stylish ensuite bedrooms with shaded outdoor decks.
Ongava Lodge is cleverly constructed on the slopes of a small hill in the Ongava Game Reserve which lies on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. From here, guests can sit back and watch a host of wildlife coming to drink at the waterhole below. 13 chalets and one family room are built out of brick, rock and thatch and has en-suite bathrooms, air-condition and glass-fronted doors leading onto a private veranda.
