An exciting day beckons as we make a short drive to Sorvagur and take a boat excursion to the island of Mykines - the undoubted crown jewel of the Faroe Islands for its amazing birdlife where thousands of puffins and a strong colony of garnets nest. Spend time documenting these stunning birds and thereafter, continue a pleasant hike across to Mykinesholmur to witness jaw-dropping landscapes with unspoiled isolation and beauty. We then return by boat back to main land of Vagar Island where we make a short drive to the tiny village of Gasadalur which was only accessible by road as recent as 2004. Stop to admire the beautiful landscape and the iconic Mulafossur waterfall before we continue our drive to Torshavn - capital and largest city of the Faroe Islands.

Another epic day in the Faroe Islands as we make an excursion on the islands of Streymoy and Eysturoy. First, a short drive takes us to the fishing village of Kollafjordur where we make a brief stop to visit the Kollafjordur Church that was built in 1837 with typical Faroese black-tarred wooden building, turf roof and white painted windows. Next we journey into the island of Eysturoy where we visit the small settlement of Gjogv, nestled at the foot of the Faroes' highest peaks, Slaettaratindur and Grafelli. Take a walk to the harbour to admire upclose the 200m long sea-filled gorge that runs north to the sea from the village.

Next, we will make a stop in the village of Fuglafjodur with a busy and atmospheric harbour in summer lining with boats and bustling activity. Enjoy some time here for lunch with delicious variety of seafood or Faroese lamb and thereafter, we return back to Streymoy Island for a visit to the charming ancient village of Saksun. We visit the ancient farm of Duvugaroar, now a national heritage museum to gain insights into the life of Faroese farmers from the Middle Ages to the early 20th Century. Spend some time to soak in the surreal beauty of the village's beautiful lagoon and surrounding Faroese buildings before returning to Torshavn.

Journey to the Northern Islands of Bordoy and Kunoy as we drive into Eysturoy to Leirvik where we enter through the sub-sea tunnel to Klaksvik - second-largest city in the Faroe Islands and an important fishing trade center. Marvel at the astounding and dramatic high mountains and the amazing sights of the pyramid mountain on the island of Kunoy that forms a great protective barrier from the waves of the northern ocean. Along the route, we will witness ancient Viking settlements and plenty of opportunities for inspiring photography.

We spend the day in Torshavn - the smallest capital city in the world and surroundings. First stop of the day is Kirkjubour where we take a step back in time to witness the cultural and religious centre of the Faroe Islands in the Middle Ages. Remnants of the past still remains and in the form of the medieval St Magnus Cathedral, Olav's Church and the farmhouse, previously the Bishop's residence which dates back to the early 12th Century. Later, we return to Torshavn to the historical old town of Tinganes, considered the oldest parliamentary meeting place in the world where the first Viking parliament took place in 900. Take a leisure walk through the charming red buildings for a lasting impression of the tiny capital city.
