ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE MAUN / MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Arrive into Maun, Botswana where you will be escorted to your scheduled light-aircraft flight to your camp in the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park spanning over 10,000 square kilometres of dry savannahs, arid and desolate landscapes as well as one of the largest salt pans in the world. We arrive into the Leroo La Tau, nestled on the western bank of the once-dried up Boteti River - home now to an abundance of returning fascinating wildlife such as the Kalahari-adapted leopards, lions, spotted hyenas, impalas, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, the curious meerkats and more. During the dry season in much of the Kalahari region, this is your opportunity to witness the second-largest Zebra and Wildebeest migration to the life-giving waters of the Boteti River - perfect sanctuary conditions for the herds and opportunity for the predators to hunt. Set out for your late afternoon to evening game drive for a first glimpse of the wildlife.

DAY 2: MAKGADIKGADI PANS
We have a second day to marvel at the incredible wildlife and listen to stories of survival in this often harsh landscape. Set out in the early morning after breakfast for a morning game drive where the animals will start to graze before returning to camp for brunch and time for relaxation. We set out again in the late afternoon to evening to capture in the nocturnal animals and especially predators going on their opportunistic hunt.

DAY 3: MAKGADIKGADI PANS / OKAVANGO DELTA
Arrive into Maun, Botswana where you will be escorted to your scheduled light-aircraft flight to your camp in the UNESCO-listed Okavango Delta where the mighty Okavango River flows and trickle into the Kalahari Desert creating the largest inland delta and one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes on Earth with areas of crystal clear lagoons and water channels; palm-fringed islands and lush grassland plains teeming with wildlife and birds under the vast skies. Enjoy your afternoon and evening activities of game drives, gliding around the waterways on your "mokoros" or motorized boats and nature walks.

DAY 4: OKAVANGO DELTA
You have a full day to enjoy your safari activities by day and night, mokoros or boat trips and nature walks.

DAY 5: OKAVANGO DELTA / SELINDA RESERVE
Today we transfer by light aircraft for a short journey to the dramatic waterways and marshes of the 320,000 acre Selinda Reserve - home to some of the largest herds of elephants and buffaloes as well as one of the last great bastions of the endangered African Wild Dog. Embark on game drives to fully appreciate the diverse wildlife in this inspiring project spearheaded by National Geographic photographers and filmmakers, Derek and Beverley Joubert and discover the stories of the ancient spillway that links with the Okavango Delta.

Today, we board our light aircraft to Kasane for your onward journey in Africa.

Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti River - home to Africa's second-largest animal migration populated by over 30,000 zebra and wildbeest herds during the dry season followed closely by predators. The 12 luxurious thatched chalets overlooks the Boteti River and the magnificent Makgadikgadi Pans National Park offering a front row spectacle to all the action.
A retreat of contemporary and unique design, Vumbura Plains comprises of two separate satelite camps, consisting of 14 rooms overall. Each camp has its own sumptuous raised lounge, dining and bar area with magnificent vistas across the Okavango Delta, while a deck with comfortable cushions protrudes into the floodplain. Each large luxurious room is raised off the ground with indoor and outdoor showers and en-suite bathroom.
