ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE MAUN / MAKGADIKGADI PANS

Arrive into Maun, Botswana where you will be escorted to your scheduled light-aircraft flight to your camp in the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park spanning over 10,000 square kilometres of dry savannahs, arid and desolate landscapes as well as one of the largest salt pans in the world. We arrive into the Leroo La Tau, nestled on the western bank of the once-dried up Boteti River - home now to an abundance of returning fascinating wildlife such as the Kalahari-adapted leopards, lions, spotted hyenas, impalas, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, the curious meerkats and more. During the dry season in much of the Kalahari region, this is your opportunity to witness the second-largest Zebra and Wildebeest migration to the life-giving waters of the Boteti River - perfect sanctuary conditions for the herds and opportunity for the predators to hunt. Set out for your late afternoon to evening game drive for a first glimpse of the wildlife.
